When is the next Friends of the Fullerton Public Library used book sale?
The next USED BOOK SALE - - - MARCH 9, 10, and 11.
It has been too long since I last posted. I was going to read our guest author's book and then write a review. But then Christmas came and went and I traveled out of state.
Now that we are well into the new year I will continue where I left off.
Victoria Patterson was our guest author at our November membership meeting. (See previous post), I read her book, This Vacant Paradise weeks ago, it was all that she said it would be when she spoke at Fullerton Public Library's new conference center. It was a real page turner and you will be mesmerized by it especially if you enjoy the development of characterization as I did. Victoria has created a truly memorable
fictional person in her character, Esther, a literally poor little rich girl who lives in contemporary Orange County. Sad or as our author says, dark. But, I say a very worthy read. We wish Victoria all the best as she continue to write. And I am sure she is speaking at other nearby libraries. You won't want to miss her as she tells her writing stories from the heart.
Another thing you won't want to miss is this: SANDRA TSING LOW will be speaking at the library this Sunday at 2:00. Check out the library's page. If you keep your radio tuned to 89.3, KPCC- FM you might have got one of her always humorous broadcasts. She does The Loh Down on Science and The Loh Life.
